Perhaps the best feature the homes offers is a sense of normalcy - something hard to come by for many of the boys and girls who often have been shuffled from place to place. On the upper floor three rooms provide enough space for individual use. This home is located in a residential area, located in the historic part of the city Schwalbacher. Grace Church assists with fundraising activities, such as the Baby Bottle Campaign and Walk for Life.
Total Pay Breakdown
Although the Arnette House is eligible for and receives government grants, it relies heavily on donations and fundraising to run all of its programs. The residents also are required to get a job or become involved in community service projects. Each youth in the house must be enrolled in an educational program, either attending school or seeking to pass the GED exam. Currently, there are five girls and four boys living in the homes.
They provide comprehensive services including counseling, financial skill development and trauma recovery services. They employ an on-site experienced case manager and outsource licensed mental health counseling as necessary. They also work with a vast network of community organizations that provide services to help meet each family’s individual needs for health, dental, educational needs.
Financials for Arnette House
The Ocala Farm Ministry serves the farmers and their children in Ocala. They offer a variety of programs, from after-school tutoring to Boys Scouts. Grace Church has partnered with this ministry and helped build a computer lab for its tutoring program with the funding of The Episcopal Church and The David & Lisa Midgett Foundation.
"They have a great future ahead of them," said Gerald Jones, the boys' group-home coordinator. In fact, through a job search with members of the staff, he recently found a job working at a Sonny's restaurant. The residents are all assigned daily and weekly chores to complete, and each teen must prepare dinner for their housemates one night a week. Outward appearances aren't the only things working to give the youths a sense of establishment.
Arnette House to unveil two new group homes for at-risk youth
During a ribbon-cutting ceremony, the agency will unveil two new group homes - one for boys and one for girls - that were built to house teens ages 13 to 18 who are in need of long-term assistance. The Arnette House stands to help at-risk youths with no place to go to get on their feet and get the education and skills needed to succeed in life. And it offers some foster children a stable atmosphere and a fighting chance. Throughout the year Grace invites those inside the church and in the community to join with IJM in the fight to end modern day slavery; teach and learn about modern day slavery; and share God's heart for justice. Project Hope of Marion County is a non-profit organization, established in 2007 by a faith-based community group, to provide solutions for homelessness among women and their dependent children.
Beautiful historic downtown with restaurants, such as "Mother Kraus", even with popular and well-known guests. In the late 80-ies, the whole house was completely renovated complex. Hands of Mercy Everywhere (H.O.M.E.) provides a Christian-based residential group home for teenage girls, and pregnant or parenting teens in the foster care system.

Children have an opportunity to participate in the discipleship program, The Greatest Journey. There they learn how to follow Christ in their daily lives as they share Him with friends and family. Each week members have the opportunity to bring canned and dry goods to church to support the IES Food Pantry. We now also collect supplies for the IES Center for Life medical clinic. Twice a year we hold church-wide food drives, filling shopping bags with food for the pantry. We also bring dinner to the residents of the IES shelter every other month.
